Polo Luggage roll
50 Liter Euro 8,95 The
luggage roll is made from a smooth, black plastic foil, eve though it
looks different on the photos. I liked the opening on the outer diameter
of the bag, but it proved not be be so great, as the zipper is not
waterproof and the flap with Velcro also can't keep the rain entirely
out.

The material is quite thin, therefore one better
doesn't use the handle, as it can rip out otherwise. I had two of
these rolls, but after a 2-3 week trip they were frazzled, ripped, or
somehow else broken.
Conclusion: Cheap, but it won't last
long, therefore it is not really recommendable.

Polo FLM luggage roll
65 Liter Euro 24,95 The
roll is made of fabric which is rubber coated on both sides. It is
quite robust, and even after rolling it many, many times it doesn't
show any cracks or rips. The handle looks strong, but unfortunately
it is only glued on, that means it will eventually rip off, and then
it takes the outer coating of the fabric with it in the two spots
where it was glued on. Closing it by rolling the open end
works well, and it makes it waterproof. With a small
padlock one can lock the roll with two D-rings. This doesn't
prevent anybody to open the luggage roll by force, but it makes a
grab and run harder, it also prevents it from opening on the road.
Conclusion: Not too expensive compared
with others, and good quality (if you disregard the handle) -
recommendable.
