German Military Cutlery 195g
19cm Euro 9,95
I know these cutleries from my military time, and
learned that it is of good quality. Therefore I wanted to use it on my
motorcycle travels, and then bought it from a military surplus store.

Minimalists certainly would never
take such silverware on a trip. but rather take a Spork
(spoon-fork). That certainly is much smaller and lighter too, but I
just need at least as little comfort as proper utensils. Conclusion:
I think it is a good set of silverware for trips, and therefore
recommend it.

military cutlery is also available at Amazon.com.

Polo Travel
Cutlery 160g
18cm Euro 4,95 For my
wife (then girl friend) I bought this cheap travel cutlery for our
first motorcycle travel together, as I wasn't sure if she would like
traveling by motorcycle at all.
It is obvious that this silverware is supposed
to be a copy of the German military one. The only real difference is
that this set doesn't stay together, therefore it comes in a plastic
cover.
The knife is quite blunt, but that ca be
changed. If the can opener works is questionable, as it is very
blunt too, but I have a real one with me anyway.
Conclusion: The silverware isn't bad,
and the price is hard to beat.

Globetrotter Jetboil
Spatula 15g 13x6cm Euro 7,95 Eve
though I don't take a frying pan on trips, the spatula was a good
investment. At least i most cases one ca use a pot instead of a
frying pan. Especially for scrambled eggs the spatula has prove to
be helpful.
Conclusion: A normal plastic spatula
doesn't eve cost half of what this one costs, but it is much bigger
and a little heavier too. Everybody has to decide for themself
if the size is more important than the price. At first I was a
little worried about how sturdy this spatula would be, as it looks
very thi and fragile, but I used it o several motorcycle trips now,
and it held up quite well.

Globetrotter Cooking
Spoon 45g 30cm Euro 5,95 Since
I have a Teflon coated pot I can't just use my stainless steel spoon
anymore for stirring, as it would damage the coating.
Conclusion:
It is rather big, ad I have thought of sawing it off, but so far I
always found a space for it.

spoon is also available at Amazon.com.

Fackelmann Can
Opener 96g 16cm Euro 1,95 Yes,
most of the cans don't require a ca opener anymore, but not all of
them.
Conclusion: The can opener is
practical, and small, ad when it is too rusty one just gets a new
one, it isn't expensive at all.
A similar can
opener, classic is also available at Amazon.com.
