Jayne and Che

In mid of August 2004 I flew the first time to Barcelona.

Since Jayne was there for a conference, we decided to meet there, and to explore the city for a long weekend (Thursday through Monday).

We visited e.g.: Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, Poble Espanyol, ...

General information

The best time to go to Barcelona is definitely NOT August!!!

Many shops, bars and restaurants are closed then, because the locals leave for vacation, or just flee the heat in the city.

I guess the best time to go would be spring or fall.

Mama Sol We stayed at the mother's of Alex (a co-worker of Jayne).

Many thanks to "Mama Sol" for the great hospitality!
